The FYI Desktop App is unable to update because it is being blocked by a group policy rule.
Issue
The FYI Desktop application is unable to update and the log file shows "This program is blocked by group policy. For more information, contact your system administrator."
Cause
A Group Policy rule has been configured to restrict users from installing or updating applications, or directories have been excluded from being used during software installations and updates.
Solution
Please consult your IT team and ensure Group Policy rules do not blacklist the following directories which are used during the FYI Desktop App update process:
- %localappdata%\SquirrelTemp
- %localappdata%\FYIDesktop
