You can create a Task for an email that has been filed in FYI.
Select the email in a list in FYI.
The Drawer displays.
Click the Task section of the FYI Drawer to expand it.
Click the Add Task button in the Task section of the drawer, or click the Add Task icon in the action bar at the top of the drawer.
Select or enter the filing fields, or change any defaults that have been given.
Subject - enter a brief subject for the task. This displays in the lists in FYI.
Assignee - Select the name of the user assigned to the task.
Job and Category - if the email is filed against a Job, the task defaults to that Job and Category.
Due Date - A due date of two days from today's date is given as the default. This can be changed by clicking on the field and selecting from the calendar.
Status - This defaults to In Progress, so when the task is created, nothing needs to be actioned on it.
Document - displays the name of the email the task is being created for.
Details - Type the details of the task. Remember that when the task is created off the back of an email, you can easily display the email to provide context for the taskin the Task section of the drawer.
The assignee is notified about the task and the task is displays in Task lists.
