You can open a job from the Jobs Workspace to see additional information and access all the emails, documents and tasks that have been filed against a specific job.
- In the Jobs workspace, click the Job Name in the list.
The Job opens and displays the Jobs Summary tab (see below).
- You can open the Drawer for a Job from the workspace by clicking anywhere other that the Job Name or Client. From the Drawer, you can open the Job to see additional details.
Displaying the Drawer for a Job
Select a job on the workspace by clicking in the list anywhere other than the Job Name or the Client name. The Drawer displays.
In the Recent Documents section in the Job Drawer, you can display the recently added documents for that job. By selecting a document in the Recent Document section, you can use the Preview pane to easily show a preview of that document. Refer to Displaying and Maintaining Jobs.
Opening the Job from the Drawer
From the Drawer, you can click Open Job in the Action Bar to open the job.
Or, with the relevant job selected in the list, you can click the Open button on the tool bar to display the Jobs Summary tab for that job (see below).
Opening the Job in XPM
From the Drawer, you can click the Open in XPM link to open the job in Xero Practice Manager (you may be prompted to login to Xero Practice Manager).
Or, with the relevant job selected in the list, you can click the Open in XPM button on the tool bar to open the job in Xero Practice Manager.
Jobs - Summary
When you open a Job, the Jobs Summary initially displays.
The Jobs - Summary tab provides a snap shot of the Job Details.
You can click the Open job in XPM icon on the Summary tab (in the top right-hand corner of the Job Details pane) to open the job in Xero Practice Manager.
You can also enter the details of a Phone Call, File Note or Meeting related to the Job. These are entered using the + New button and clicking on Create. The Drawer will appear allowing you to complete filing details.
Documents and Tasks at the bottom of the Jobs - Summary list the most recent documents and tasks for that job. You can edit these from the Clients - Summary.
Jobs - Documents
The Jobs - Documents tab lists any documents that have been filed under that job.
Jobs - Tasks
The Jobs - Tasks tab lists any tasks that have been created for any documents under that job, or any stand-alone tasks that have been created and filed under that job.
Jobs - XPM Milestones and XPM Tasks
There are two additional tabs which display the XPM Milestones and XPM Tasks from Xero Practice Manager. For more information, refer to Working with Jobs.
Jobs - Processes
The Jobs - Processes tab lists any automation processes that can be run manually so that one can be run directly for the displayed Job.
Jobs - Comments
The Jobs - Comments tab lists any Comments that have been added to the job.
Jobs - Activity
The Jobs - Activity tab lists any activities that have happened on the job such as if any processes have run against the job.
