FYI holds information on Filing, Tasks, Comments and other Activity related to an email, document or client interaction in The Drawer.
The Drawer can be displayed from within FYI, Outlook or Office.
The information available from the Drawer will depend on the type of document, email or interaction.

Displaying the Drawer in FYI
When you click on an Email or Document in a list, the FYI Drawer displays on the right-hand side of the screen.
The Drawer contains details relating to the email or document. This is where you can:
- Update Filing information
- View the Email Thread.
- Add Comments for your team
- Allocate Tasks
- Initiate a Workflow
- Or see recent Activity relating to the email or document

Displaying the FYI Drawer in Outlook
Thanks to deep integration with Microsoft Office, you can access FYI without ever having to leave your Outlook Inbox.
Click the FYI icon in your Outook ribbon menu to display the FYI Drawer.
From the FYI Drawer, you can check or update filing details and click Create to make the email available to everyone in the practice.
When sending a new email to a client, open a blank email and click the FYI Icon. The FYI Drawer will display giving you access to FYI email templates and the ability to file the email before sending it. Any replies to this email will automatically be saved to FYI.

Displaying the Drawer in an Office Product
You can also access the FYI Drawer when you create or open a Microsoft Office document using Word, PowerPoint or Excel. This gives you direct access to the filing details for the document in FYI.
To display the Drawer in an Office product;
- Click the FYI icon in the Office ribbon menu
2. The FYI Drawer will display on the right-hand side.
This is where you can;
Update Filing information
Initiate a Workflow
See recent Activity relating to the document
- For a Word or Excel document, insert a document link to an FYI document.
When you Close and Save a document, all of the changes are automatically saved back to FYI.
