In Client Lists
When searching for a Client name (in the "Search clients" field in the Clients list or for the Client in the Filing section of the Drawer) FYI searches for all clients containing the search characters you enter anywhere in the Client Name. It also searches client email addresses. Refer to Searching for Clients.
In Document Lists
In the "Search documents" field when searching for document names, FYI searches currently only supports starts with search option, not containing. For example, searching for "end" will find "Year end" or "Year ending" but not "Tender".
You can search for multiple words, but in this case the words must be entered in full. For example, you can search for "financial statements". You can not search for parts of multiple words, such as "fin state".
Search may also find instances that are plurals or singulars. For example:
Searching for "statement" will also find "statements"
Searching for "statements" will also find "statement"
Searching for "financial statement" will also find "financial statements"
Searching for "financial statements" will also find "financial statement"
The search also searches contents of the Keywords field in documents.
Refer to Searching in Lists.
The search does not search within the contents of documents, but you can use the Content Search button to perform a text search within the content of emails, phone calls, file notes and meetings. Refer to Search within Email, Phone Call, File Note and Meeting Content.
In Jobs Lists
When searching in the Jobs list, the text you enter in the "Search jobs" field will search in the Job Name, the Job ID and also the client name and FYI searches for any of these containing the search characters. Refer to Using the Jobs List.
