Displaying Tasks via the Jobs List
When viewing lists of Jobs in FYI, the Task icon displays on the right-hand side if there are any outstanding Tasks related to that job.
Displaying Tasks via the Job Workspace
When you open a Job to access the Job Workspace, the Job - Summary tab initially displays.
The Tasks section lists any tasks that have been created for the job, including the Status, Subject, Due Date and Assignee for each Task.
The Job - Tasks tab lists any Tasks that have been created and filed under the Job. This initially displays Incomplete Tasks and the view can be changed, for example, to All Tasks.
This includes both stand-alone tasks and tasks that have been created for emails and documents that relate to that job.
Tasks Created by an Automation Process
Where a task has been created as part of a process this shows the delegator as "System" and it displays with the View Process Checklist icon. Clicking the View Process Checklist icon displays the Client - Process History Checklist for the Process that created the Task. From the Client - Process History Checklist, the Task details can be displayed and if relevant, the Status changed. Refer to the Client Process History Checklist.
Displaying Tasks via the Job Drawer
Tasks associated with a job can be displayed from the Tasks section of the Job Drawer.
To display tasks for a job:
- In the Jobs List, select a job to display the Drawer.
- Expand the Tasks section of the Job drawer to display the outstanding and completed tasks for that Job.
Adding a New Task
New Tasks can be added to the Job directly from the drawer by clicking the Add Task button. Refer to Using the Task Drawer.
Displaying the Details of a Task
You can display the details of a task that is associated with the Job by clicking on task name, or on the Status indicator.
This changes the Drawer to display the Update Task function. The Job is displayed in the Task drawer and can be changed if relevant.
To re-display the job from the Update Task, click the Back button.
In the Update Task drawer, you can also re-display the Job, by clicking the Open Job icon.
