You can Reply, Reply All or Forward a sent or received email.
For a video walkthrough of this feature, refer to Replying and Forwarding from FYI (2 mins).
- Select the email in a list.
- In the Reply, Reply All and Forward button, click the option you want to use.
For example, click over Reply in the button to send a reply.
Click over Reply All in the button to reply to all recipients.
Click over Forward in the button to forward the email.
This opens the Create Email Drawer for you to create the reply or forward as a thread of the opened email. If you need to change any of the filing details, or recipients, of the reply or forward, click the Change filing link. Refer also to Managing Email Threads.
In the same way as other emails, you can create the reply or forward as Draft in FYI, Draft in Outlook or Send Immediately.
Forwarding to an Internal Email Address
If you forward an email to an internal email address, this will break the thread. So if the person the email was forwarded to then replies to the client this will not thread the email and therefore it will not automatically file it under the thread. If you need to notify an internal user about an email, you can send a comment or set up a task (refer to Adding Comments and Notifying Team Members and Adding a Task to an Email or Document).
