FYI can be integrated with digital signature providers myprosperity.
The following describes how to set up FYI so that documents can be sent to and received from myprosperity.
Currently, there are limitations when using the myprosperity integration as it only allows one document, one recipient or one signature.
Note: Currently, only clients that have an email address, and where the email address is unique, are imported into myprosperity.
The integration allows for:
- Signatures
You can send a document for signature using myprosperity, refer to Digital Signatures using myprosperity. Once signed, the document will be automatically pulled back into FYI and threaded with the original document. - Sharing documents
You can send documents to the client via myprosperity (the same as using the Share option for Collaborate). Once integrated, an additional option to Share via myprosperity will be displayed. Refer to Sharing Documents via myprosperity. - Inbound documents
You can receive documents from the client via upload. This allows source documents such as Tax Receipts from the client to be uploaded to FYI. This is similar to clients uploading documents via OneDrive.

Setting up the Integration with myprosperity
- Step 1 - Connect your myprosperity Account to FYI
- Step 2 - Sync Clients
- Step 3 - Login to myprosperity and Import the Data
Step 1 - Connect your myprosperity Account to FYI
Your myprosperity account needs to be connected to FYI.
Note: This is a one-off step and can only be done by an FYI Admin, or a user in a User Group that has Permissions enabled for Automations.
- From FYI, click the Automation menu option.
- Go to the Apps tab.
- In the myprosperity app, click the cog icon to edit it.
- In the myprosperity Settings panel, click Connect.
- You are prompted to log in to your myprosperity account.
Enter the details of your account for myprosperity.
Once set up, the myprosperity Settings shows the Connected date and time, Account and the Authorized User.
Note: If you need to disconnect, log in to myprosperity with the same login details that you connected with previously.
Step 2 - Sync Clients
There are two ways to sync clients:
- For more than one client using a Client view
or - For a specific client.
For more than one Client
As an FYI Admin, or a user in a User Group that has Permissions enabled for Automations, can sync more than one client at a time. This is done using a saved view in the Clients list. This would usually be used to include only those clients with unique email addresses. A saved view needs to be set up, for example, by setting the filter for Primary Clients (refer to Primary Client in Using the Clients Lists) or can be set up using a Custom Field. Refer to Saving Changes to the View Layout, Modifying and Deleting Views.
The myprosperity sync is then run only for clients included in the selected view. The client must have an email address and the email address must be unique.
- Ensure you have set up a saved view in the Clients list that will be used to sync the clients.
- In Automation - Apps, edit the FYI myprosperity App
- Select the view that includes the clients you want to sync
- Click Sync Client View.
This syncs the myprosperity clients that are included in the selected view with FYI.
If you click Sync Client View and a sync is already pending, a message displays that a sync is already pending and includes a message to complete the client import in myprosperity.
For a Specific Client
Any user can sync a specific client with myprosperity from the client workspace. The client must have an email address and the email address must be unique. If the client does not already exist in myprosperity, it is created.
- In the Client workspace, display the relevant client.
- Go to the Apps tab.
- Edit the myprosperity app.
- Click Sync.
This syncs that myprosperity client to FYI.
Room Settings
In the myprosperity app, the AutoFile using rooms toggle and the Room Settings button allow you to AutoFile documents in myprosperity using Rooms.
The Room Settings are used to set the Default room type, similar to the Cabinet in FYI, when sharing documents with myprosperity.
When sharing a document, this checks if a Room already exists for the context. If the Room exists the document is filed under the existing room. If the Room does not exist it creates it.
Note: For sharing with myprosperity, these settings replace the settings in Collaborate Settings.
- Set AutoFile using rooms to "On" to enable it.
- Click Room Settings.
- Select the Default room type to select the Room Type in myprosperity.
The Structure List shows the configuration of the Room when documents are shared with myprosperity. This uses the metadata in the FYI documents. -
You can remove any of the metadata groupings from the Structure List and add any to it from the Available list. You can also change the sequence of the metadata in the Structure List.
-
Click to select what you want to move.
-
Drag and drop it either to the Structure List to include it, or drag it to the Available List to remove it from the Structure List.
or
Drag it up or down in the Structure List to change the sequence. - Click Save.
Step 3 - Login to myprosperity and Import the Data
The next step is to import the clients from FYI to myprosperity.
Note: Currently, only clients that have an email address, and where the email address is unique, are imported into myprosperity.
- Log in to your myprosperity account.
- Display Configure - Integrations.
- Next to FYI Docs, click the Manage link.
This displays the FYI Docs integration setup. If this is not already displaying as "Connected", click Refresh to refresh so this shows as "Connected". - Click Review and import data.
- Review the available data.
A list of the clients that were found during the import is displayed. You can select from the list what to import to myprosperity.
Note: If you need to make any changes or add new clients, this should be done from FYI and then synced to myprosperity. - Click to select the items that can be imported, for example, click the link Select all nnn items.
The list of selected items is displayed. - Click Confirm and import data.
- To check the sync, you can display the FYI Automation App myprosperity.
Note: FYI automatically runs the sync with myprosperity every 5 minutes so there can be a short delay before the data is synced.
